In the book of Acts, we read of all the ways that God continued the mission of Jesus Christ through the apostles and the Church. In Acts 4, Luke recounts an instance where Peter and John are arrested and put on trial for preaching the Gospel, and rather than backing down or closing their mouths; we see them displaying Spirit-enabled boldness in sharing the Gospel. Peter goes so far as to say that “there is salvation in no one else” (Acts 4:12). He tells the very same people who were responsible for crucifying Jesus that they must look to Jesus alone for salvation! During this season of prayer, let us humbly ask almighty God to give us that same boldness. We need His help. We must come to God daily and ask Him to make bold witnesses for Christ Jesus.
